Who we are

Ollie’s Angels Animal Welfare Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of animals and the people who care for them through rescue, education, and community support.

What began as an outreach and resource-focused initiative has grown into a foster-based dog rescue and Los Angeles County adoption partner, working to help at-risk shelter dogs find safety, stability, and loving homes.

We believe that lasting change in animal welfare requires more than rescue alone. It requires compassion, collaboration, and strong community support systems that help both animals and the people who care for them.

Our Story

Ollie’s Angels was founded in honor of a very special dog named Ollie, whose love, loyalty, and spirit left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

After Ollie passed, his legacy inspired a mission to advocate for animals who are often overlooked or misunderstood, while also supporting the people working tirelessly to help them.

In the early days, Ollie’s Angels focused primarily on education, outreach, and connecting pet owners with resources. Through this work, we began building relationships with shelters, volunteers, and rescue organizations throughout Southern California.

As we spent more time inside the shelter system, it became clear that many incredible dogs were running out of time simply because there weren’t enough fosters, resources, or advocates available to help them.

So we stepped in to help fill that gap.

Today, Ollie’s Angels operates as a foster-based dog rescue, working alongside local shelters to help dogs leave overcrowded environments and enter foster homes where they can decompress, receive individualized care, and prepare for adoption.

But rescue is only one part of the mission.

We remain deeply committed to prevention and community support, helping pet owners access critical resources like low-cost spay/neuter services, training support, veterinary care, and guidance during difficult situations. By supporting families and addressing challenges early, we can often prevent animals from entering the shelter system in the first place.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. We work alongside shelters, rescues, volunteers, and community members who share the same goal: creating better outcomes for animals.

Ollie’s Angels exists because of the people who care enough to act — fosters who open their homes, volunteers who give their time, adopters who choose rescue, and supporters who believe that every life matters.

And through it all, Ollie’s spirit continues to guide the mission.

Because every dog deserves their angels.

Meet the Team

We're on a mission to revolutionize animal welfare with relentless passion and unmatched dedication. Join us in creating a world where every animal's life is valued and protected. Together, we'll set new standards in compassion and care, forging a future that roars with change.

Having grown up in a home filled with pets of all kinds, I developed a passion for animals at a young age. I rescued my soul dog, Ollie, in 2015 at age 23 and he taught me more in our time together then I had learned from any other animal or person. Being a pittie with high anxiety and reactivity towards both dogs and people, Ollie faced a lot of adversity. Loving and caring for him solidified my drive to advocate for animals - particularly those that are misunderstood. I knew then that I wanted to get involved in rescue work but wasn’t sure where to start. When I had to say goodbye to him unexpectedly after only nine years together, I decided that the best way to truly honor him was to finally take steps towards that dream. I adopted Circe from the Castaic Animal Care Center in Los Angeles in 2023 and started volunteering shortly thereafter. As time went on and I started to see, firsthand, the enormity of the animal welfare crisis that we are facing, I realized that I could and should do more. It is our hope that, through community outreach and education, providing assistance to our local shelters and rescues, and connecting pet owners with easier access to necessary resources, we can help turn the tide and make a positive impact in the animal rescue community.

President & Co-Founder

Throughout my adult life, I’ve always had a passion for helping lost and stray pets find loving homes and I could never turn my back on an animal in need. Having been blessed with multiple dogs and cats in my own household, I’ve experienced firsthand the powerful bond between people and their pets—and I want more people to feel that same connection. Through Ollie’s Angels, we’re giving a voice to the voiceless, supporting overburdened shelters, and delivering real resources and solutions to the rescue community to create meaningful, lasting change.
